From June 29th to August 14th 2026, the spa facility will be open morning only

Thermal treatments

La Contea spa center is an healthcare facility affiliated with the National Health Service for spa treatments, physiotherapy.

The structure is equipped with the most advanced technologies and has a team of medical specialists in various disciplines.

The agreement also allows everyone to benefit from one agreed cycle of thermal therapy for year, with the exception of some categories who can benefit from two cycles by presenting a prescription from the family doctor or pediatrician.

The “Fango D.O.C.” brand of the thermal muds of the Euganean Basin, recognizes its excellence and uniqueness at a European level thanks to the numerous studies that have guaranteed its quality.

Mudtherapy

In the mud therapy treatment, the thermal mud is gradually applied to the skin at a temperature of around 40°C generally over the entire body (with the exception of the front thoracic area and head) or partially over a limited area. The duration of mud therapy varies from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment. After the mud bath, the patient is washed with a hot shower and immersed in a thermal bath at a temperature of approximately 38°C for a period of 8-10 minutes. The mud used in our factory is made up of a solid element (clay), a liquid element (salt-bromine-iodine water) and a biological element (microorganisms). It appears as a dark gray mush made up of very fine silt, hot at a temperature of 60 to 70°C and slow to cool. The biological and therapeutic effects are multiple: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, muscle relaxant, eutrophic action, stimulating action on numerous metabolic processes. In addition to having a beneficial effect on the whole body in general, the salt-bromine-iodine muds find a primary indication in the vast field of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and safe indications in many pathologies of other organs and systems. Mud therapy is indicated for the following pathologies: OSTEOARTHROSIS, OSTEOPOROSIS, EXTRA-ARTICULAR RHEUMATISM. The agreement with the National Health Service allows everyone to benefit of one agreed cycle of thermal therapy for year, with the exception of some categories who can benefit of two cycles by presenting a prescription from their family doctor or pediatrician.

Balneotherapy

Thermal balneotherapy concludes the mud cycle, immersing oneself in therapeutic mineral waters at a temperature of 36° – 38°C for approximately 8-15 minutes. The process relaxes the body due to the sweating reaction which completes the biological effects of mud bath therapy.

Hydromassage

It constitutes a particular massage therapy method that exploits the pressure exerted by jets of thermal water, as it flows from wells. For this purpose, tanks equipped with multiple nozzles are used from which the water mixed with air comes out at a sufficiently high pressure that can be adjusted according to needs. The jets are appropriately oriented from the sole of the foot to the chest to promote return blood circulation.

Cave therapy

The cave is an environment in which thermal waters flow inside, saturated by vapors produced by the thermal water at a temperature of 45°C, with a relative humidity percentage of 98 – 100%.

General massage

Massage therapy is usually carried out after mud therapy and consists of a general therapeutic massage lasting twenty minutes.

Inhalation and insufflation treatments

Inhalation uses the vaporization of thermal water to treat respiratory system pathologies. Based on the degree of vaporization, they can be humid, semi-humid and dry, acting from the first tracts up to the bronchial tubes (inhalation, aerosol, humage, nasal douches, nasal irrigations).

Treatments for rhinogenic deafness

Treatments are indicated in all cases of middle ear tubal insufficiency due to chronic or recurrent ear infections in adults and children. Thermal gases allow you to re-establish correct ventilation of the middle ear.

Vascular pathway

The vascular pathway acts on diseases of the lower limbs. The route includes two pools, a 9m pool of cold water at 24°C and a 9m pool of hot water at 34°C with a hydromassage system.
