Fangotherapy

In the mud treatment, the thermal mud is applied gradually on the skin at a temperature of about 40°C in a general manner on the whole body (excluding the front thoracic area and the head) or partially on a delimited area. The duration of the mud therapy varies from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment. After the mud treatment, the patient is washed with a hot shower and immersed in a thermal bath at a temperature of about 38 ° C for a period of 8-10 minutes.

The mud used in our SPA consists of a solid element (clay), a liquid (salt-bromine-iodic water) and a biological one (micro-organisms). It looks like a dark gray mush formed by very fine silt, warm at a temperature of 60 to 70 ° C and slow to cool.

The biological and therapeutic effects are numerous: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, muscle relaxant, eutrophic action, stimulation action on numerous metabolic processes. Besides having a beneficial effect on the whole body in general, the salso-bromo-iodic muds are a primary indication in the vast field of the locomotor system affections and safe indications in many pathologies of other organs and systems.

Mud therapy is indicated for the following diseases:
OSTEOARTHRITIS: widespread osteoarthritis, cervicoarthrosis, lomboarthrosis, arthrosis of the limbs, discontinence without herniation and without irritation or nervous compression, results from surgery for herniated discs, cervicalgia of rheumatic origin, scapulohumeral periarthritis (excluding acute forms), arthritis rheumatoid during quiescence, arthrosis, polyarthritis, osteoarthritis, joint rheumatism outcomes, periarthritis, ankylopoietic spondylitis, spondyloarthrosis, spondylolisthesis
OSTEOPOROSIS
EXTRA - ARTICULAR REUMATISMS: inflammatory rheumatism (during quiescence), fibrosis of rheumatic origin, tendinitis of rheumatic origin, lumbago of rheumatic origin, fibrositis, fibromyositis.

In combination with mud therapy, the following therapies can be performed:
BALNEOTHERAPY: the thermal balneotherapy, using the therapeutically active mineral waters, associates to the physical properties (aspecific) the biological and therapeutic effects exerted by the mineralizers that make each mineral water a peculiar chemical-physical composition solution.
HYDROMASSAGE: it is a particular massotherapeutic method that exploits the pressure exerted by thermal water jets, as it springs from wells. For this purpose, tanks are provided with multiple vents from which the water mixed with air comes out at a sufficiently high pressure and in any case adjustable according to the needs. The jets are suitably oriented from the sole of the foot to the chest to promote the return blood circulation.
CAVE THERAPY: the cave is an environment in which thermal waters flow, saturated by vapors produced by thermal water at a temperature of 45 ° C, with a relative humidity percentage of 98 - 100%.
GENERAL MASSAGES: massotherapy is usually performed after the mud therapy, it consists of a general therapeutic massage lasting twenty minutes.
